先日macOS Catalinaにアップグレードしたところ、DVD PlayerアプリがApplecationフォルダになくなって、Alfredでも起動できなくなって困った。
私は、MacでDVDをよく見ているので少し不便におもっていた。その後、Spotlight Searchで検索すれば起動できたし、Dockにアイコンを置いておけば問題ないことがわかった。
しかしDVD Playerはいったいどこに行ったのかと思い、さがしてみるとかなり深い階層のフォルダにあった。/System/Library/CoreServices/Applicationsというフォルダである。以下のように他のユーティリティも移動されていた。

ここで解せないのは定番のAflredがOSのアップグレードに追従していない点だ。詳しく追求していないが、検索範囲をmacOSのバージョンに適応してくれてもいいと思うのだが……。やれやれ。
